SPIDERS

All Green Termite & Pest Control has dealt with many different species of spiders in S Carolina. We have listed several of the most common here on our site, starting off with the most poisonous.  Occasionally, spiders can be found well outside of their known area due to being intentionally or accidentally transported by humans in cars, luggage, and other belongings.

Spiders are an asset to have around your house. As long as they are not crawling inside with you! They feed on insects and spiders reduce the bug population.  They will remain in their nest waiting for prey to be captured in their sticky silk webbing.  A few types of spiders actually roam and hunt, these do not rely on webbing to capture their prey.

Most people are afraid of spiders, (arachnophobia) and even though they are beneficial to our environment, not many people enjoy spiders living in their home!  That's where the professional exterminators at All Green Termite & Pest Control come in! We do a thorough and complete inspection for the various spiders around your structure. Our methods of treatment are designed to keep spiders off your house and out in the yard where they belong.  We do web removal and implement various exclusion techniques to keep the spiders out!

If you are worried about what kind of spider you have found feel free to give us a call. One of our professional inspectors will come and identify it for you free of charge!

Pest Control and benefits of Spiders

Spiders can cause allergies similar to those caused by dust mites, cockroaches or bed bugs, spiders can be a huge cause of inhalation problems.

The biggest health risk from spiders is the venom they inject.  When spiders feel trapped or threatened they are known to strike,  injecting venom into their prey.  If you are bit by a spider try to catch it and save it for identification. Over 10,000 spider bites were reported last year to poison control.
